Christina Swanson

Vocal Instructor

Christina Swanson is a New York singer and vocal instructor . She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan. During her study, Christina built a fundamental technique and developed a method of vocal pedagogy. In addition, she trained in acting and dance. Christina  performed many roles with the University Michigan Opera Workshop, yet is no stranger to the musical theatre, jazz, and pop. Christina received extensive training in each genre, and was a featured vocalist in the new movie musical Liberty’s Secret. 

Christina regularly performs in opera, concert, cabaret, and musical theater throughout Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor. Current projects include chorus in Einstein on the Beach, and the Empress in The Carousel, performed regularly at The Whitney's Ghost Bar. She is known for her expressive interpretation and full and shimmering sound. Christina’s goal is to empower her students with confidence, a solid technique, and tools to build flexibility in the sound, so they may excel in whichever genre they choose to sing.

Kim Croes

Vocal Instructor

I have decided to take a hiatus from teaching to focus on health and my own music. I love teaching and hope to be able to come back in the near future. Until then Ben and Christina are incredible teachers.

Kim Croes has studied vocals since she was 10 years old. Her expertise specializes in teaching vocal technique and style. Her methods of teaching have been acknowledged by producers, recording artists, and beginners alike. Kim studied Voice at Oakland University and received a Bachelors in Music with a focus in vocals. She is a singer and songwriter who performs locally. She is also featured on an electronic artist qmoog's latest album She currently gigs in the royal oak area, performs at music festivals including arts, beats, and eats, has performed in musicals with the Detroit Opera Theatre, and sung as part of woodside's worship team. Her experience goes into the recording studio as well having worked on many projects with other singers and songwriters.

Jordan siden

Guitar/Ukulele/Mandolin

Jordan Siden is an accomplished guitar player, and is versed in mandolin, ukulele, and bass. He teaches all popular music styles including rock, blues, soul, funk, R&B, country, jazz, and bluegrass, and is ready to craft his lessons to meet his students' individualized needs. Jordan has been playing guitar since he was 10 years old, and was first exposed to advanced skills in improvisation, technique, and performance at the Ann Arbor Music Center's Rock Band School. He is an alumnus of the Community High School jazz program, and has studied jazz guitar at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. His performance highlights include performing lead guitar in the pit band for Indiana University's production of Jesus Christ Superstar, playing stages across the Midwest with the IU Soul Revue, and hearing his band's music played on public radio while he was in high school.
